E-Learning Days

DLPS E-Learning Days

New for the 2021-22 school year, our district calendar includes E-Learning Days rather than  snow make-up days. E-Learning Days are intended to provide access to learning on days when there are school cancellations due to inclement weather. E-Learning Days eliminate the need for “snow make-up” days.  Please review the specific building information to learn more about expectations for attendance and assignments.

Communication

On the day of the weather event, a Skylert message will be sent to our district families as well as information being posted on our district website and social media accounts. You will also find the cancellation notice on our local radio station, KDLM 1340, and our FM news stations.  This is similar to our previous communication procedures on inclement weather days that resulted in school closings. Please reach out to your child’s teacher or administrator with any questions. Families should have received detailed information from their child’s school.

Attendance

Attendance procedures are communicated with families via the building plans. If a student does not complete the assigned learning, the student may be counted absent. Please communicate with the teacher or building if your child is going to be unable to participate and will need to be counted absent for the day.
