SAIL Programming

Detroit Lakes Public Schools offers academic based extended year programming called SAIL (Success and Achievement in Learning!)

Sunrise SAILing into Books is a program being offered for grades K through 5 at Roosevelt and Rossman from 7:30 until 8:00 am.  This fun and educational program will help develop a love for reading. The students have the opportunity to listen to stories, read with buddies, be in book clubs, and/or read books individually. Our goal is to have our students be able to start each school day with a fun reading experience! If interested, please register here.

SAIL After School Club is a program being offered for students that could benefit from increased support in reading and math at Roosevelt, Rossman, and the Boys and Girls Club.  We are also supporting this learning by engaging students in STEM activities to help develop a love for science as well.  If interested, please contact your child's teacher to see if this is a good option for your child. This program goes from 3:30 until 5:00 pm on Mondays through Thursdays.

SAILing into Summer is our extended school year program being offered for students finishing kindergarten up through fifth grade.  It is intended for students that could benefit from increased support in reading and math.  We are also providing STEM activities to help develop a love for science as well.  Information on registration, dates, times, and location will be shared with families in the spring of the year, stay tuned!
