Detroit Lakes Public Schools offers academic based extended year programming called SAIL (Success and Achievement in Learning!)
Sunrise SAILing into Books is a program being offered for grades K through 5 at Roosevelt and Rossman from 7:30 until 8:00 am. This fun and educational program will help develop a love for reading. The students have the opportunity to listen to stories, read with buddies, be in book clubs, and/or read books individually. Our goal is to have our students be able to start each school day with a fun reading experience!
SAIL After School Club is a program being offered for students that could benefit from increased support in reading and math at Roosevelt, Rossman, and the Boys and Girls Club. We are also supporting this learning by engaging students in STEM activities to help develop a love for science as well. If interested, please contact your child's teacher to see if this is a good option for your child. This program goes from 3:30 until 5:00 pm on Mondays through Thursdays.
Summer SAIL Programming
Detroit Lakes Public Schools is VERY excited to announce some great summer programming for our students! There are four different opportunities your child can participate in: Art Adventures, SAILing into Summer (reading/math camp), Tech Time, and Learning Outdoors in the Outdoors at Tamarac. We are hoping that COVID won't pose any troubles but be aware that changes may need to be made at the last minute regarding personnel, class size and/or location. In order to register for any of the sessions below, please contact Rhonda Fode by email: email@example.com or leave a message at 218-847-4491 ext 2127. Please leave your name, child's name, and the session with date that you wish to enroll. Thank you.
