How Do I Become A Substitute?

Complete and Submit the following information:

A member of our staff is available to offer assistance if needed in completing the online application and computer access is available at the School District Office, 702 Lake Avenue in Detroit Lakes.

• Online Employment Application  (Select "Substitute" in left column; then apply for JobID# 1991)
•  Substitute Cover Letter (Please Complete and Submit).
•  2025 Payroll Forms (Please Complete and Submit).

In addition to completed payroll forms, the following is also required: 

• Copy of two forms of identification (social security card, birth certificate, driver's license, or passport).
• Payment of $25.00 for completion of a criminal background check.
