The American Indian Education Department held an award ceremony for the Young Artist/Young Writers K-5 on Tuesday, February 18th, at Roosevelt Elementary. Students in each school within the district K-5 were eligible to enter. All entries must pertain to the American Indian Culture, History, Language, and/or Traditions. Students were encouraged to enter the arts, crafts, writing, drumming, singing, and/or photography.
