This week, we welcomed some new staff to DLPS during our New Teacher Inservice! It was a great start to the 2025-26 school year!

The 2025-26 school year is right around the corner! Learning sets sail on September 2nd. We wanted to provide some information and resources to make sure we all start the year sailing smoothly.

The Summer SAIL program has begun! Mrs. Benson's 4th graders learned about the environment with Kellie Wolf at the Ortenstone Garden area in Detroit Lakes. 

Believe it or not, the 2025-26 school year is fast approaching, and we can't wait! Check out the supply lists below to see what your student will need for the learning ahead.

• Detroit Lakes High School & Detroit Lakes Alternative Learning Center: Students are expected to have general school supplies available on the first day.  Suggested examples: Backpack, writing utensils (pens/pencils), highlighter, notebooks, & folders. DLHS & ALC students in 9th-12th grade have many class offerings available and therefore diverse schedules with different needs.  Students should follow advice from their teachers in regard to unique school supplies and will be given this information the first week of school.
