The Transition Resource Fair is an opportunity to gain information about post-secondary, independent living, housing, and recreational resources for youth and adults with disabilities. Vendors will be available to answer questions and offer information. This event is open to the public: adults, youth, families, teachers, and community members.

Drumstick painting was an exciting way for preschoolers at Lincoln Little Lakers Extended Care to explore the intersection of art and music. This activity included creativity, development of key motor skills, sensory exploration, appreciation for rhythm self-expression, and a deeper connection between sound and art.

The American Indian Education Department held an award ceremony for the Young Artist/Young Writers in grades 6th-12th on Friday, February 21st at MSTATE. All school districts that receive AI funding in MN were encouraged to enter. Entries must pertain to the American Indian Culture, History, Language, and/or Traditions. Students were encouraged to enter the arts, crafts, writing, drumming, singing, and/or photography.

Open to DLPS students grades K-11. Fill out the form below and return it to Joe Carrier at jcarrier@detlakes.k12.mn.us or drop it off at the DLMS Office. 

DLPS Native American Education: Princess and Brave Contestant Application

Students in each school within the district K-5 were eligible to enter. All entries must pertain to the American Indian Culture, History, Language, and/or Traditions.
