It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Detroit Lakes Public Schools website.  We are excited to share the excellent opportunities available for our students, staff, and community.  High quality education and academic success are long standing traditions in the Detroit Lakes School District . 

Whether you are a current resident of the school district, contemplating a move into the area, or just seeking information, this website has been designed to provide information about the schools, such as district policies, curriculum, activities, staff, calendars, lunch menus, school board activities, and employment.  In addition, information is provided about the individual schools and related educational agencies.  Links are also provided for parents and students to check their educational information. 

The teachers, staff, and administration work hard to provide high quality educational opportunities for all students within a supportive environment.  The Detroit Lakes Public Schools have a solid academic curriculum.  In addition, students can pursue their individual interests through a complement of elective courses as well as participate in a variety of extra curricular activities. 

In order for all children to be successful in attaining their potential, we believe a strong relationship needs to be fostered between the home and school.  We encourage all parents and community members to take an active role in the school.  We hope this website will be an effective tool in fostering a strong parental/community relationship with the school.
